My interests lie in optical engineering, research, & development in visual optics, intraocular light scatter, cataract, physical & adaptive optics, wavefront technology, Zernike polynomials, camera, & graphics systems, optometric & ophthalmic instrumentation, stereo visual system analysis, & projection display systems. I am an expert in optical design using Zemax (advanced certificate, tolerance certificate) and ASAP. I can design complex lens assemblies & imaging systems in visible, ultraviolet, and infrared wavelengths. I am familiar with MTF testing, color science, radiometry, photography, photogrammetry, still, video, & motion picture cameras, digital imaging, lasers, lenses , fiber/electro-optics, materials, & injection molding. Other software products I can use effectively are: Matlab, MathCAD, Rhinoceros3D, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Visual Optics Lab (VOL), C++, Labview, ImageTool, Visual Basic, Adobe: Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Microsoft: Office, Project, Access, and Frontpage. I have had experience in teaching, project management, illustration, quality, reliability, & sales. I am adaptive, productive, positive, communicative, industrious, innovative, & interpersonal. I can also play a mean guitar.
