HAVOC

Houston Area Visual Optics journal Club

Welcome to the HAVOC website! Our journal club discusses recent papers, research, or research-related problems associated with all areas of visual optics, including wave aberrations and image quality in the eye, accommodation, refractive development, refractive correction, ophthalmic optics and instrumentation, and new approaches to retinal imaging. Meetings are informal, but typically one person leads the discussion of a paper or their research for each meeting. These meeting can also be used to practice upcoming conference presentations and to debrief recent conferences/meetings. Anyone who is interested is encouraged to attend. General meeting details are as follow:

DAY:                           Wednesday (beginning September 17)

TIME:                          5:30 pm

LOCATION:               UHCO (University of Houston College of Optometry)

Rm. 2321

DIRECTIONS:           http://www.opt.uh.edu/resources/directions.cfm?reinit=1

Unless otherwise specified, all HAVOC meetings will be held at the College of Optometry. Occasionally, HAVOC will meet at a different location to best accommodate the presenter or conduct tours of facilities and labs (such as at Baylor, the UH Biomedical Engineering Department, etc.). These instances will be identified in the calendar below.
